Slightly off topic, but in a similar vein.

My ISP - iinet - generates a password for you when you register. This is a blanket password for everything, including your email account.

They also use this password to verify your identity when you contact them for any admin matter.

I sent a couple of very long emails to their security centre explaining why I thought sharing passwords with every admin person in the company was a bad idea. They did not share my concerns. They didn't seem to get that if you share the password with everyone it isn't really a secret password anymore.

Wasn't aiming to be harsh with my post. I just saw the system as a database and interpreted it like Hangover, That being If you realy wanted to wast the time and effort it would be possible.

i feel it is a valid question and if so maybe a warning should be put on the bottom of your pm page to say that pm,s could be veiwed by the administrators only as a disclaimer

Rangieman it is a very good and valid question that you are right no one has even thought of in the past to my minor knowledge. I don't think it was asked in a bad demeanor or in negative content. And yes I to would not believe that if Mods could do it would they let anyone know that they could or would. As in Security you don't tell what you can see or do to any FRED
