i dunno about all this ! seems a bit blown out of proportion to me!

i can understand that few of you have got a bit upset because some of the comments sound like they question the integrity of the moderators etc but i dont really think he meant it like that ! i think it was just more of a curiousity thing! u could use it like man on the moon ! was it real or fake ?

we have all heard about these conspiracy things about the man on the moon trip and how it wasnt real, saying it was all staged etc but how can we really be sure? i wonder about it some times , how can we really be sure that those USA astro naughts really did walk on the moon! not as if NASA will ever tell you other wise! there are many other things in life that the same question can be asked!

I worked at the satellite comms station at Moree during the first moon landing. We sent the signal from Parkes to the USA.

I don't believe it was faked.

We signed this on the day of the Apollo 11 launch (17 July 1969 in Oz, 16 July in the USA) - my signature hasn't changed much http://61.9.197.173/otc/stories/apol...lo11_stamp.htm

Yes... and no.

The day of the landing and first moon walk, I was back in Sydney for the weekend with my girlfriend (now wife) so I watched it on TV like everyone else - but my colleagues saw it live from Parkes.
