    Lassiters Reef

    G'day

As some of you may know I have just returned from a trip through the NT. Whilst i was in Alice Springs i found the Australian Transport Museum and it was simply fantastic.

Inevitably in the Museum there were a couple of Land Rovers and I thought you may be interested them.

The first is a military vehicle and whilst I know stuff all about Land Rovers it just lookes the part,

The second was the vehicle used by descendants of Lewis Lassiter who legend has it found a fabulously rich reef of gold somewhere between the Western MacDonald Ranges and WA. Not once but 3 times . Go figure. The vehicle has been used to in an attempt to relocate the reef but to no avail.

PS Thats Mrs Possum looking loving at the landy

If it was the 2nd it would be easy. I fly back into Alice at lunchtime that day (from Adelaide). Thursday I will be at work, lunchtime is usually around 1pm.
When does the train leace Adelaide? I will be down there from April 24th until May 2nd.

No worries mate, there is always a next time.

You get used to the fuel prices here, just need to make the decision each week, fuel or beer .
