    Having driven around Australia in my aircon SII disco and many thousands of Kilometres in Army LR without aircon, it is a no brainer, Aircon is the go!

    Yes, (of course) you will survive without it. But your life will suck if you are north of the tropic. Tiredness, fatigue, dehydration and a lung full of bull dust await. Some people will say that they do fine without it, I always go back to the old truism "any fool can be uncomfortable in the bush".
