I was faced with a similar dilemma 5-6 years ago.
I bought my wife the disco and spent some dosh over the years doing up the Landie.
    With my County--
Rust in the doors is an easy fix, it was a good excuse to buy a (cheap) Mig Welder.
Aircon is crap, so I'm putting in vents (next job)
Sounds like your heater matrix is full of dirt
I would sell the Stage 1 over the County any day, even for 5-6 grand difference in the bottom line.
I'ts easy to say these things when its not my money of course
Why not look around at some Series 1 Disco's or are they all too old and tired now?

How much do you want for the county?

    I'm starting a collection.

Tempting, Mick. It has some interesting bits for you - gas, 4.3 stroker which runs well when the head is OK - gets up and boogies in an amazing way. Almost certainly ported head and definitely lumpy cam, but history was unavailable when I got it. If you're handy it might give you some useful bits. Price? Make an offer - it's worthless as a trade-in.

I want the third row, DeeJay. And those sideways ones in the Series 1's give me nightmares. Plus, if I upgrade I want the low kms. Previously I wouldn't have bought a car with over 100,000km. I bought both Landies with more than 250,000 on them, and I like plan A better...

And as for the Stage 1 - it runs well, not needing immediate work. It's good on sand and for lugging things. Sure it doesn't go around corners and it lacks any comfort. And it was/is my first Landie, soft spot in heart and head...

Go the Disco, but that one does sound a bit pricey, is it low K's?

76000km. 2 owners plus most recently loaner for the service department. Has 7 seats, ACE, most options (but not leather). Seems OK by the Red Book (shows $18-21k for base model 5 seater 111,000 km). Just hoping none of you fellows get your cars service in Toowoomba...

Glass's Guide shows $20200 as tops. It had want to be a bloody beauty for twenty big ones. Low end in Glass's is $12600.
