Regardless of what it is, who the hell would pay 29k for a defender with crap paint, that if it is a test vehicle has prolly been hammered.

It doesn't look like 100" wheelbase. The photos are squashed - wrong aspect ratio.

It is a 110, and it looks like one of the TD5 engined vehicles that the Army have bought for general duties as a cheaper alternative. I've seen a few about, some locally in launnie of which there are some photos on REMLR here http://www.remlr.com/stopgaptd5.html. the bottom ones I took. As you can see a couple have been sold, this may be one of those couple of test ones sold before the regular ones were used.

If you had it would you really care about how glossy the duco is?

No I wouldn't care and yes I'd have it, I just wouldn't pay the stupid asking price, because when all is said and done its still only a standard Land Rover.

The pic Barney posted is by far a way cooler Land Rover.

Is this one of the ones with all of the structural bars intergrated into the body?

From the info others have posted it seems this hardtop is not much more than a standard Defender used by the Army as a GD vehicle.
