I have a suspicion that they won't be ADR compliant. Not because of the clear lens (plenty of new cars out there with clear lenses these days), but because they would be low quality and never tested for compliance.

Those design do not have an "E" code on them. that makes them Illegal for road use.
But who will know??? unless you have to go thru a RWC or MOT situation.
I have a pair of Hummer headlights that i'm fitting..... they take 9007 globes and are sealled with an "O" ring.... Now that is nice for offroad.....
Here is some pix of them.

That's what I was concerned with. The FF reflector can be really good (D2a etc) but then they were made for it, so to speak.
These one's from Devon4x4 are "E" coded!
Some good feedback, thanks.
Anyway, first off is a drivesafe wiring upgrade, then some better bulbs:D
I know those 150 watt clears.
I had 4 on my Datsun 260C coupe when I was young.
2 sat in the high beam lite space and the other two were in plastic spot mounts. I also had 2 100 watt fog lights on the front:twisted::twisted:.
Worked great once I had the relays and fusses set up.
G'day Folks :)
I would be checking those Hummer lights, to see if they Dipped LEFT and not Right for US Europe and their Left hand drive vehicles;) As our lights on Cars and Trucks MUST dip LEFT and Motorcycles dip straight down;) or the newer ones with twin lamps might dip Left.
I don't have any trouble at 100 kph with a pair of HQ Holden 50/75 watt Sealed Beams :D but then I regularly clean my Earth connections with a small wire brush;) I also drive within my lights, and 100kph is fast enough and still keep my license:cool:
cheers
