We are heading to a place called King Parrot, it's in Deans Marsh (edge of the Otways).

They have cabins etc but they also have a little camp ground at the bottom of the property - best part is that they never allow more than 28 people to camp there.

Looking forward to trying the new roof tent.

Yup! The phone number(s) of a decent hotel resort when the rains start and the direct line no. for room service... and a pile of (good quality) easter eggs!

And to answer the rest: It rains here, at Easter, just about every year.

I'm stuck with ferrying kids to and from the blasted "Blues Festival" at Byron Bay, which is a great place not to go anytime, and even worse when that event is on...

Note to Dante: veteran Blues Fest goers, wear gumboots, the rain is on already, tho' sporadically, which means the site will be a bog, as usual...
.....answered that question, bring a Land Rover!

    cheers, GQ

    Good luck.
That's great advice. Get her totally smashed and hope she forgets about the whole thing. LOL.

Seriously, my advice would be don't take it. :O

I forgot to say I'm working too.

In a couple of weeks we'll be going out on a "sea trial" though. That will be a 3 day trip (not sure where) to sort the gear and get everyone focussed on NOT taking it.

heading to friends property near Kyogle, 100 acres or so, no crowds
first trip with SWMBO was real rough, on a bike with minimal gear, a real test of her fortitude. every trip has been positively luxurious since then in her eyes.

Working until the 11th, (it's what we call work here on the rock) then as the missus says look out western Qld or if Coongie Lakes is accessible, it will be the Innamincka area.

I think we are going to Jimna SF with some friends for the school holidays. Nothing is certain about where we are going until I've set up the camper though
