    One of those weekends

Ever have one of those weekends. All of saturday I was pressure washing the house ready for the paitnters to come in this morning. got all that done and went off to my parents for tea. Got home and noticed a puddle under the land rover and figured it was water from the pressure washing (I cleaned up some of the Land Rover as well while I was at it you see.

Stuck my finger in it, nope, it was petrol Cleaned some up on the tank and found a pinhole sized hole slowly letting the liquid gold (aka petrol) seep out, and I had nothing to stop it with in the garage, and at 10 in the evening, nothing was open. So after finding I couldn't get a straight enough piece of hose to syphon off the petrol, and not having a tool to fit the petrol tank drain plug, no more gaps came to the rescue as an overnight patch. Sunday morning I got some of that metal putty stuff to patch it with as I have to grive the landy to work all of this week, but at least I have the week after easter not dirving the land rover so that I can drain it, get it out and get the hole welded up.

Ahh well, that's the way it is sometimes

Yep a bar of soap will do the trick, just rub the bar into the hole or crack, hey presto. Even better if you have some talcum powder to hand will help it bond better.

Nice to hear someone else's weekend was good like mine.

Oil change in the Defender, drip tray started leaking half way through the draining process...next I carefully took off the oil filter only to drop the blasted thing and throw more oil everywhere.
