"...suggested it was built in jungles by people who wear leaves for shoes." LOL, that line is absolutely classic!!

I'm paying a visit to their site to check this car out.

It's a pretty funny article. He walks in, buys it, drives it across the road and smashes it up with a slwedgehammer in view of the showroom. and then drives it away saying that the styling had been improved

The entire car only costs 2,500 GBP!!!!!!! They ought to sell them out here. I suspect it would be very economical too! ...according to the specifications it has more kW to the tonne than a Tdi Disco/Fender.

I guess he will not be attending the Malaysian GP anytime soon....it could get ugly!

He may be right and that it is the worst car in England, but the national car company is a huge source of pride in malaysia... I'm not surprised that it will be taken as a direct insult to the country (rather than the car). Someday J.C. is gonna go too far - he gets soooo close to the line so often...

the kelisa is tiny, it has no soul... but it's cheap! I've seen families of 6 crammed into one at 110km/h on the North-South highway between Singapore and KL - true disposable motoring, but still better than some of the crap coming out of China (20 year old technology Rover clones) and India... just wait till they hit aussie shores

I drove one recently on a visit to Bangi, Nr. KL - and they are absolutely horrid.

When the AC cut it it felt like you were going backwards.

    Thanks Inc.

Jeremy now has another country after his arrssee.
After his, err, 'visit' to redneck USA and the dramas in the deep south, now the Malays are after him.

He'll have a field day when he gets a hold of some of the cars being made in China. $3600US for a (new) Chery QQ, he could buy a hundred of them and push all out the back of an Antonov transport plane, that'd be fun!

    OMG http://www.cheryglobal.com/qq_%20Specifications%20.htm

Now that China have discovered cars [ie. for personal use, one that everyone can afford (Volkwagen?!)], I guess we are going to see some diabolical models emerge... I wonder what the crash safety is like on the Chery QQ? Oh no! another 600 million cars on the road! Think of the demand for fuel and the global price!!!! Arghhh
