Thread: Good tracks one busted rear diff

What a weekend. Breakages for each day.
Clunky spat the front wheel bearings 10km from Ace's on the way there.
Someone span a tyre on the Friday before I got there.
Saturday saw Ace's rear diff go and one Rangie transfer also went on strike half way up Mt Airley.
Sunday and Lauchlan (My 5yo) coped a rock to the head so the 130 became the trip ambulance. We have photos on the head and one of the video's shows the disco go past, spit the rocks, You then hear the screams and it ends with Ace yelling out is the any blood. Great timing on the video.
All is good though and all we have to do now is sort out Ace's diff. Those that didn't make it missed a great and exciting weekend.

I think i might have the diff sorted, Lokka and Cal415 have the bits, we are going to use a classic rangie diff centre, and swap in a 24 spline hemisphere so my axles will go in.

If that doesnt work do you have one Landrovermick?

Ace I had a look. Mine is just the centre, No crown wheel but the spiders are there and ok.

$50 for a diff centre - pity it's in Melbourne.

The Diff is sorted,, as is his idler pulley bearing(i think it was) that went when he was pulling up to the bearing place in newcastle,, but now he is having alternator issues!!!
