    I managed to find a new PS on the 'net for A$59. Most places want a lot more. I'm happy.

    I opened up the PS to see if I could repair it but it is so tightly packed, I gave up that idea.

    When I first started working on submarine cable comms gear in the mid-Sixties, it was mostly valve equipment made by STC. I still remember the commonest valve, the CV2000. They were soldered in, not plugged it.
