I had a parcel delivered today by courier company, Aramex (formerly Fastway).

However, I'm glad it wasn't fragile because the driver didn't ring our bell, he/she just tossed the parcel over the 6ft. high fence/gate. I was home and waiting for him/her as I'd seen the tracking app which told me when he/she would be here. One can't email Aramex as there are no email addresses on their website. Maybe they don't want to be contacted.

I have left a message on their Facebook page. I don't expect a reply.

We had a few of those until we put CCTV in. The next one resulted in a quick call to the company asking them to make good in exchange for me not posting the footage on youtube. Word must have got around because they all stopped shot-putting the packages over or front wall and we haven't had an issue since.

    Almost...

This is an " almost " as the vendor surprised me.

Have been salivating over my 27 inch iMac, wondering what a great flight sim would look like... so ordered a Xplane 9, well assured it would be correct version.... Used to have an older one with the dead PC, and it was magnificently realistic. Perfect for perfecting your IFR, without upsetting insurance premiums or CASA. But I lost the main disc, years ago...

Alas, this new (?) No 1 disc was so over-used, that it looked a tad miky (described in advert.... hence lower $$)
But it reckoned my imac was,..... unsuitable, other machines it would not read... eventually got some bts loaded, and lots not. Had a whinge to the seller and...........................

    Got a full refund.

Now I have to wait another few weeks to get a much more expensive, 'New/old stock' (GLOBAL) PC & Mac ver$ion.

Why the global ? - Cos SWMBO hath declared her undying hatred of this magnificent Mac..... and any day I'll find it in the bin. - So ordered re-furbed i7 machine just for Her..., tiny box.... to sit under the redundant 24 inch screen living in the shed. And WIN 11.

Good News is..... that printer I bought ? Works beautifully, fast, clean and basically self-loaded itself onto my Router. Enough ink in the thing to last 12 months. Maybe

When our Hound of the Baskervilles was still with us, one particular postie wouldn't even get out of his van.... Had seen him drop the packets - literally - out the window onto the lawn... and make himself scarce.... She never went out the front, but had a magnificent WOOOF....

We had one of those too. I had a CCTV export that I've subsequently lost of our Vietnamese postie ringing the doorbell. Our dog was asleep inside the front door and let out one woof. It looked like the postie did a reverse backflip with pike before sprinting up the driveway. He was new on our route. Once I'd had a chance to explain that every time he rung the bell that'd happen, but there were 2 layers of serious physical elements between the dog and himself, and we'd never let the dog out the front while he was there, we got on fine. It was a heck of a first impression though.

I'm hoping our 16 week old puppy grows one of those barks. He was 9kg at 10 weeks, and he's 20 kg at 16 weeks, so he's on his way.

The postie who does parcel deliveries comes to the gate to pat and chat to our dog (whichever one we have at the time - we are on no. 65 at the moment).

Welcome to Life James2. My 78rpm of British Steam has gone. I also find other things have disappeared.

My photo album including PNG images of Goroka Asaro Mudmen from days of yore. etc.. Just in a puff of smoke. GONE

Then I am accused of ditching old Family Xmas Decorations

I blame her for putting them on the same outdoor seat that she always places crap on to be tossed out.

I think I should start inspecting her huge Shopping Bag before she goes out past the SULO Bin.

Maybe I did ditch them accidentally but if she will put them on the crap site????? "Not guilty M'lud".

The recently purchased FOMOCO/Jag/LR/etc. oil pump for my D3 was leaking oil from the supposedly blanked off port on top, which led to a lot of wasted time and money for my mechanic and I, chasing what looked like a crankshaft seal leak. Unable to claim warranty on that, as no faulty part to return and they don't pay labour either, grrrrr.
