We usually do so these days but we bought this pump months ago but only connected it yesterday. Elisabeth won't buy any product in a shop where I have touched the packet. She'll pick up another one.

He moved out a couple of years ago.

    I do. OK, OK. I bought a P38A.

And the pump fan wasn't hitting anything on switch on. And the blades that are left still aren't. It just threw a number of blades off - I heard it from inside the house.

Back in 1993, I bought a new TV that cost about $1000 then. It's been faulty ever since new and Sanyo couldn't fix it despite it going back for repair several times. There is a fix - in fact BradTot sent me the info (which I can't find) but I don't have the circuit diagram to work out how to implement the fix.

I also bought another TV from another supplier and it never worked properly from day 1 - it couldn't keep vertical sync and the picture continually rolled. It went back for repair at least 6 times to be returned with NFF (No Fault Found).

The there was the TV I bought two years ago that failed shortly after the warranty expired.

We won't mention the Ford Probe we bought that had a faulty wheel bearing that made noises that the service dept couldn't hear or the gearbox that failed that they blamed us for. They claimed we drove it too hard. Odd that the under warranty replacement box started to do the same thing (and which was fairly well documented on Ford Probe sites). That's when we got rid of it.

Nor should I mention the odd noises our Forester is making and it's only 2 years old. My wife can't hear them - yet.

I could hear ticking from my P38A shortly after buying it but the mechanics couldn't. I think it was the slipping liner that eventually necessitated an engine replacement.

I should be used to it. I have never owned a reliable car in 42 years of driving. That includes Toyotas.

Ron, do you have a black cat, if so get rid of it.

You need to see one of those fung sue dudes or what ever it is or some sort of witch doctor to get your luck turned around.

Ive met some unlucky people but not that bad.

Could be worse though, yours only costs you money, one bloke I used to know, any time he touched something mechanical he would hurt himself.

It made it hard seems he was a mechanic, he eventually cut 3 fingers off in a saw and had to give the trade away and last I heard he had dropped a car on himself and couldnt work.

It was strange as he was one of the most safety orientated people I had met though if he put a jack stand under something it would still fall.

He worked with me for about 3 months at my previous job and the boss had to let him go as he just injured himself too much.
