    Not very often.

Although a few blokes now ask if I washed my car. Every time I do, we have major problems.

    I have one with 32 years service. almost 60yo. In a wife swapping situation, can I exchange her for 2 x 30, or 3 x 20?

The problem with the keys was that the ribbon cable from the front keypad was dislodged.

Bad news! I tried to turn on my Solis SL90 espresso machine this morning and it won't power up. The lights come on for a fraction of a second then go out. Out of warranty, I'm afraid.

Ah, well. Back to plunger coffee.

The above problem has been worked out - the unit will switch on when the room is warm. So I just have to wait until the house warms up.

But..... Today the heater element has gone leaky to ground and is tripping off the house ELCB/RCD.

Just to bring everyone up to speed on the vibration on the P38A (remember from an earlier post in this thread that I thought it had dropped a cylinder, well, it's a broken flex plate in the transmission. The plate is available but the new flywheel is not available in Australia so it's a 3 week wait for it to come from the UK).

A while back I bought a new remote keyfob for the P38A - about $300. When it arrived it was a totally different key to the existing and wouldn't fit.

It seems Alto Land Rover replaced the lock set but never updated the LR database with the new key code.

Unfortunately, without that code, getting a new remote is impossible. One has to replace the complete lockset again - about $1600 for parts. Dunno if that includes new remotes or not.

    Shut up, you mongrel!

I bought a DVD player today.

I've just opened the box and it's obvious it's a returned item.

Trust me to pick up the only returned item on the shelf. I should have grabbed one from the back of the shelf - or waited until tomorrow when my wife gets home from her holiday.

I had a dream the other night Ron, you sold the Range Rover and won $21000000.00 on the lotto the next day on a ticket you found.
