Yes I was watching it too, I always look under landrover (one word) as there can be stuff there not under Land Rover.
Glad to see the quest has ended, now to enjoy.:)

G'day All, From memory there are no swb S3 ex-military Land Rovers the last of the swb's were very late S2A's of which one REMLR member has, it has just been fitted up with some ex-mil fittings which as JDNSW has said 5 minutes with a drill/welder and it's on, did you not chase up the S3 109 with the 5cyl?? 3.9 diesel, anyway cheers Dennis:wasntme:
PS a quick check of the chassis number will soon tell you
Nice little stocky. Good job MarknDeb. Hasn't even got locking fronts yet.
A "hot thing" tip. Try to chase down some Marine Engine Insulation. Flat sheet stuff, cuts with Stanley knife, heat oil acid resistant, noise insulation, do I really need to say waterproof, glues onto your floor panels. Well it does in cabin cruisers and such. Can't see why it won't do the same in your Landy.
Shorty.
Ok i took some pics and have changed the spark plugs, played with a couple of things that i can, things are going good, Dave i think ill take you up on the work to the front end, ill have to sort out when tho, theres movment all the way down to the steering box and virtualy nothing after that.

Since its a steering/brakes issue and Im currently hiding at a mates place in brissy and happen to have my toolboxes on the trailer (no air compressor if you can line one up with nitto fittings that would help) Im happy to come round and give it the MK I. Eyeball for you... If its easy fix stuff I'll do it on the spot.
G'day MarknDeb:)
When you say the Steering box, is that the Relay on the front chassis rail?? if so the pinch bolt on the lower relay drop arm might be loose ( the symptom of this is that everything works up to the relay but nothing happens at the bottom of it)
It is a very nice clean vehicle, right down to the radiator splash shield, but I would advise you to move the Fuel filter from above the manifold, to over near the fuel pump, as if it splits or melts, instant fire:(
cheers
