I have a question about the permit, does the ALL PARKS PASS cover Stockton or is it a seperate access payment and are dogs still allowed on Stockton.

Good point baz i think that it will be an extra cost on top of the all parks pass tho and at 30 bucks for the year thats ok by me as last year was 30 and the year before was 25
Ok ive got sum more info on beach access coming in the mail and i will post a map of proposed areas when it arrives as themap on npws web page is incorect the permits will be 3o for the year of 15 if your veh is pension redgoed and theres going to be alot more policeing of the permits like bush 65 said they are going to make up any shortfall in funds by fineing people doingthe wrong thing ...
As for dogs on the beach there allowed but have to be on a leash and the 40kph speed limit also stays the same
Cheers
Chris
I'll get Kerry to check on a seperate payment for access to the beach.
Least you can go and play on the beach still.
Coorr wineing more than us pomms.:D :D
I come from a country that is trying to stop people owning 4x4's never mind charging you to drive on the beach (charging more tax for them and trying to ban them form the towns). They are going to make it illegal for off roaders in the UK to even rent a bit of land off a farmer on a sunday and play around in it. After all at the moment that is really the only place you can off road at the moment.
Because the Green lanes are not P/C to go along now and everone moans of you do. Plus the goverment is closing then down very very fast.
They would have got this rule through quicker if it was found that because of the wording it would have made the National RAC rally illegal. And as the goverment makes alot of money out of that they decided to back off that one, untill they cahnge the wording
So think yourselves lucky that you can still go to these places and drive them. :D
BTW i like the idea of W/A. When we were there we bought a state National park pass. This was about $50 and covered all the parks and mean't you did not have to pay the $10 entery fee each time. Great for us as we were driving around the whole of W/A
G'day All, I can draw similar issues along the lines with CraigE but with a different issue, as some of you may be aware I have a fleet (6) of ex military Land Rovers and 3 trailers, now whenever I get invited to a show I ask what are the entry fees, they (organisers) want me to pay anything from $5.00 to $20.00 entry per vehicle, now wait for it, the public get in for nothing:o , now I would have thought that we (the vehicle restorers) were the attraction with our vehicles so charge the public entry, no they don't see it that way, so as a result I don't go to shows anymore anyway it still will be interesting to see what develops on 17 mile beach and how much longer we are able to access it before it is closed down because the new owners say so anyway cheers Dennis:wasntme:
Can you lot please keep this to yourselves, if our local govt mob find out about this, Ballina SC will try the same trick on our 'driveable' beaches:D ;)

I just got the word straight from the horses mouth:D
Yes it's a seperate permit
Yes dogs are allowed (Recreation area not a National Park)
It is looked after by NPWS now on behalf of the local traditional owners.
You'd be suprised how many Landie owners work for NPWS;)
Baz.
Traditional owners?? I take it you mean Kangaroos and emus?? Or Crocodiles?? Aboriginals have only been here 40,000years so are not in fact native anyway.
