    v8 fuel useage Lt/p 100k`s

Let me ask an economy Question...
I'm sure you all know the amount of fuel your toys use...
    Thinking of a 4 spped 33in shod 4.4lt (worked to 5lt ) Rangie..

    Any ideas?
What about gas conversion? Worth it? and costs? Govt. gives $2000 rebate right...

just fill it up and drive it until it needs more.
2 tonnes at 110 kms uses fuel., its not streamlined in any way.
lucky to get 16 mpg whether its idling or pulling a big trailer.

go for gas if you can, you'll make you money back quick enough if it's your daily driver. Plus it extends your vehicles range and increases resale vale, (if you ever sell it).

My fuel bill, (changed daily drivers, not a landy though) went from $70 for 5 days to $50 for 7 days driving to work.
AND ...... there's a woolies garage near my house that offers 8c per L off the price of LPG if you spend $5 in the store. So I end up getting $20 a tank cheaper and extra 150 or so K's and a 4x4 mag for about $4 every week.

Hate the car love the savings. It' such a double edged sword !

Oh forgot to say I think you are correct about the $2000 rebale contry wide but pretty sure in WA you get an extra $500 state government rebate as well.
Cost I think I was going to be out of pocket about $5-600 with a wait of about 8 months before any LPG fitter could fit me in.
I decided to get a vehicle already fitted.

88 Rangie 5 speed on 255/65 16 tyres. Best of about 13 litres per hundred at 90 kph, no A/C. Worst of heaps per hundred (probably 20+) if I go fast with the A/C on.

Well normal weekly drive to work gets 330 kms - 350kms to a tank for about 65 to 75 litres depending on thickness of traffic a trip in the country sitting on 100 to 110 with tacho sitting below 2500rpm will do 400 - 450 km.

    3.9litre 4 speed automatic

Gas conversion in WA gets an extra rebate over and above Federal
