Yes,it is a Hedges Hardtop, made in Brisbane, don't know when manufacture started or finished, but we never fitted one at Leyland Truck & Bus after we assumed distribution in July 1973. Surprised to see it is (apparently) not almost totally rusty. They usually were.

    That's a great find.

Glad I'm not the only one who experiences this! They just don't understand

Saw this strange beast in Seymour at the weekend. It caught my eye becuase of the strange roof and light configuration. From a distance I thought it was probably an Santana, or one of those russian varients - but it looks like a 3 ute with a "different" roof, and hacked lights front and back. And an older grille from an earlier series maybe - it's all a bit odd. Inside - the seats a missing and there are bits of transmission sitting in the passenger area. The roof is very unusual - and the rear side windows are dark tinted.

I think that this may be the one spotted by Easo about a year back (in the first post of this tread) but his photos are no longer available so I can't check.

It's located directly opposite the Maccas (I feel sick just thinking about Maccas!) in Seymour. It's out front of a old servo. No indication that it is for sale, or who owns it.

I have no interest in owning such a thing - but was wondering why someone would hack the lights like that - or have I get my identification all wrong ?
