How do you come to the corruption point????
GMH back their cars and teams with money and resources. Ford do not. Just like their cars their race team support is crap. Sick of hearing all the crying from so called Ford fans.
    Holdens are just superior.
The more Fords that can be punted off the track the better, Just shows its not Lowndes but the car, no where near as successfull as when he drove a Holden.

The coverage of the V8 Supercars has been crap for some time especially for those of us that live in the country. I reckon they should at least let Foxtel broadcast it at the same time.

Come on Craig you really do like Fords
V8 Supercar coverage is HEAPS better now in WA since Channel 7 got it back.
At least GWN show it during the day, whilst 10 had it apart from the BIG races it was on at 12.30 at nite, didnt watch/record any "minor" rounds last couple of years.
Already "wasted" plenty of time watching this season.

    Andy,
Apparently if it conflicts with the footy we will not get it. There should be some sort of arrangement wether it be with fox or whoever to make sure it is shown even if delayed on the same day and in entirety. Win used to peeve me off having it at midnight all the time.
    Missed todays unfortuanately.

I have no idea how they get away with Holden "not owning" HRT and HSV teams when both take up space in a GMH owned building with GMH based engineers and get funding from you know who GMH.

When Brocky so called owned HDT way back when, a mate of mine did his aprenticeship with them and as soon as Brocky asserted some authority over what was happening he got the chop from his so own called company.

In football terms (for all you yobbo's), it would be like taking the top players from the whole AFL and setting up a team for the VFA, who would win.

FPV is proof of playing by the rules doesnt work against GMH owned teams, they have nearly got the goods but cant quite crack it as they dont have the money to throw at other teams for testing and dont use their private test track that they can privately test their components before they go on the race cars.

It stinks when this sort of corruption gets into sport just because of money but then money is what drives top grade sport so I suppose what should we expect.
Ford sucks, big deal, live with it!

whar whar whar! and furd dont do it with the stone bros engines in every ones cars?? have a look at the top 10 in any race these days! its almost half and half, look at it 5-7 years ago ALL HOLDEN.
ch7 paid way to much to get the v8's back all in an attempt to gain ratings! the picture quality is crap the colours the cars comes out are crap, the comentators are crap, they dont play any background music behind the results pages etc, ya just get engine noises and scratchy intercom dribble! even the cameras dont work properly, anyone else see the funny distortion towards the end of race 3??

i aint an r kelly fan, annoying little p3ck! so if the race had have gone full distance there is nothing sayin that GT wouldnt have got to P7 and won the round!!

all fpv is proof of is more of fords lack of being ably to come up with another GTHO type car that would/could contend with holden!
pretty sad when a turbo xr6 has more poke than a boss v8 coon

    cheers phil

Frankly, having long been a fan, I'm over it.
7 have added nothing to the telecast, since acquiring the rights.
There's no sight of any other form of racing.
Must be high time a new and better commentary team appeared.
Neil Crompton treats the viewers like babies.
The reasonably talented Mark Beretta seems completely out of his depth.
The damn pace car does a lot of laps, every time some driver sneezes, out it comes to show off its livery, (just who or what is WPS?)
I wonder what will happen when a round clashes with a 'football' event?
The drivers all refer to themselves as 'we', not 'me' or 'I'.
(So how many guys are in the car driving, boys?)

Late on Sunday night I watched a MotoGP from Istanbul, (Casey Stoner won!) and that event was a blast, unlike the V8 show from NooZulland.

About time the officialdom let up on the rules; a few more marques would make it more interesting, Lexus LS V8s and Chrysler 300cs would spark things up a a bit... and maybe chuck in a few V8s from Germany.

(A Chrysler was very nearly first to cross the finish line on Sunday arvo....)

Pity the Bathurst 12 hour race at Easter wasn't broadcast.... didn't see or hear a thing about it...

Quite funny reading all your comments

There is a company who does all the camera work etc etc, they resell it to whom ever paid the most .. channel 7 at the moment

Cameras are the same, angles are the same, the only different is the commentators... it even had the same editors...

So if you think the camera work / quality / colour etc are crap now .. go adjust YOUR tv .. as the signal is the same from channel 10.

    hope that helps!

Can't comment on quality, still looks the same to me. Commentators should be people who know about motor racing as a specialty. Mark Baretta knows bugger all and should stick to Sunrise general sport or horseracing (nothing against Mark as he is a good sports news reader). Neil Crompton is a good commentator and may over explain things but that is for the brain dead mob of viewers who know bugger all about motor racing. Neil probablly should be the lead commentator. There are heaps of others with more knowledge and experience.
My main gripe is scheduling. All races should be shown in entirety, live.
