    what tires are these???

    I'm intruiged to know what kind of tires these are in this advert? I've seen them also on the camel trophy vehicles and other land rover adverts. They look great!

    They look like the michilin tyers used but the millatary in uk and also over here i think there xcl's but could be wrong

    Hmmm... Can't really tell but they look as though they could be the Michelin XCL.

    If you're sure it's the type used on the trophy then it probably is the XCL as that's what they used on most of the Trophies. (They used the XZL for a couple of years, BFG MT in '97, Dunlop something or other on the early series vehicles and the XPC on the Freelander.)

    yes ive looked them up, and they look like the XCL's. Do they still make them? Seem very hard to get.

    XCL can be had I think (or similar) but from memory they are actually a sand tyre

    no they dont make them anymore

    we had xcl's on the 90 muddymech reckons they are the best tyres he had ever had cut through thick mud like it wasn't there and did not wear at all
    Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
