    Don't go anywhere dusty with a K&N air filter, it will clog up after letting in enough grit to damage your motor, dont believe, hold a K&N filter up to the sun or a light sorce and observe the size of the holes, then try your original paper filter, at least you can tap a paper filter to get a lot of the dust out, with the K&N you have to Wash, Dry and Re-oil, K&N will definitely give you better airflow than a standard paper filter but the trade off is more dirt, If you would like some pics of my GT engine dusted because of a K&N send me a PM, Regards Frank.

    Frank I have a pre filter socks which in summer cover the snorkle inlet I have two and claen them fortnightly and change em over..pretty effective as it has reduced the K&N filth by about 70%
