    LOL

I like this thread, tis useless yet entertaining, and if you guess Rovernauts pin, it could be about how to fund a modded Landrover
You're right - so there are 100 combinations to try. Three attempts. That means you really have a 1 in (approx) 33 chance of getting it right.

I suppose we could save a bit of guesswork by simply asking. Rovernaught: Is your PIN 0000?

Or, do you think 'Bank Card PIN' should be included in people's public profiles?

I think this alleged urban myth appeared on A Current Affair.

I typed in my pin number yesterday and the local copper turned up in ten seconds, amazing and true! (He also wanted to use the ATM )

Here's a quick security number story for y'all: We worked in a building which was installed with a keypad to arm or otherwise the alarm system.

Our boss was very on for this new security feature.

I said to him; "I can get in using your security code."
He said; "absolute bullsh1t, no one knows my number."

I typed in his number and armed the alarm system and locked the doors.

    He was flabbergasted.

Moral to the story: Never use your birthday dates as a PIN!
2nd April 1951 was his birthday. = 2451, piece of cake!

And we also did his 'top secret' briefcase after that. 123 456

I'm still laughing, he was a real case.

His two partners also had their birthday dates as security PINs.

    Hello testing!

ACA & TT are urban myths aren't they Quiggers?
They have covered anything resembling 'current affairs' since Willisee came on half cut

It could be even harder than that to guess his pin number. As it could even be a 6 digit number.

You're right there Fen. When I was an editor on these programmes, it was wall to wall politicians, and some pretty interesting, hard and confrontational stuff, but not anymore... they just do silly crap these days.

Well the myths propogate because people keep spreading them,
i could go into the logistics of atms etc, but think about it, if they were back to vkg( thats for NSW) linked , which they are not, why do so many get stolen.
Then theirs the entering of the wrong pin number,
Too many variables on this one. Busted

bet your pappy is still laughing because you told the world.

being a former field engineer who specialised in fixing ATMS i can confidently say this is not true. Similar to the urban myth of someone robbing an ATM through the shutter assembly into the safe cash area.

As for vandalism...well i have a few good ones on that and NONE of them even got near the cash despite all of their attempts.

This is a Land Rover site and should only be dedicated to the topic.
That other crap is all over the web and if that crap is your fancy you have a problem and can fine your fix some where else.

If you dont like this subject then dont open the thread, it's a pretty simple concept for most people.

This is general chat, that means anything goes as long as it's in good taste.
