    O K , I ' l l t y p e t h i s s l o w l y , c a u s e w e k n o w y o u c a n ' t r e a d f a s t .

    Sorry, Inc. Just couldn't resist.

JetStar? Like, with the actual off the ground bit?
In the sky? With JetStar, and a $6 return ticket? I can't drive from home, to the Bus depot in Murray Bridge for that.
Mind you, JetStar, have been getting some publicity lately. Not all rosy.
I'll whack a bigger fan on the front of the Landy and fly that, thanks. I've seen the news.

    Shorty.

    Hmmm lets see...

An airline where the Pilots do the aircraft inspections....
An airline where they keep costs down by paying less wages (you pay peanuts you get monkeys)
An airline which does everything it can to save money...

    Hmmm...

My a.s.s at 30,000ft in a low budget aircraft...

    I think NOT

"But sir, if we crash and you die you can have your $6.00 back"

Not to mention that these are the mob that had an engine detonate on a 373 at about 17,000 feet, 100 nautical miles North of Launceston, turned it around and flew it back to Avalon. Why? Cause I suspect thier management told them it was easier to fit an engine in Avalon (Vic) than fly one to Launceston. Don't worry about the passengers

We flew Jetstar to Tassie and Virgin on the way back a couple of weeks ago. I have to say the Jetstar seats were better for a tall streak like me, and not just by a little bit. the Virgin seats try to make a hunchback out of me. Service was fine. I used to fly Virgin everywhere for work and had issues with them more than once.

We scored some tickets from the gold coast to syd and back again a few days later. for a total of $20 ( $3 per flight plus $2 booking fee) so makes for a cheap holiday.

After all it is only an hour on a plane so if it is cramped who really cares.

Amazing prices, eh? How long before they go broke?

If you pay $3 for a flight, what about all the taxes? Don't the airlines have a fuel levy which is around $20 a sector?

I wonder how they pay the landing taxes and other things, like aircraft leases and wages?

I flew jetstar once adelaide to the gold coast, how did i get to adelaide you may ask, flew with virgin, why, because jetstar closes their check in 30 mins before departure. I with 8 others were in the check in line at the gold coast, what jetstar did was remove the adelaide sign 10 mins before, i was there well over the 30 mins. When i eventually found out, and blued about it they, on the counter said back luck you have now forfeited your ticket. Their reason, the pilots have to manually calculate the load. But I could see the plane on the tarmac.
Anyway had to be in Adelaide that day,as i was shooting at the games the next morning, the next flight was the next day.
Told them to stick their airline, so did the other 7 behind me, went over to the virgin counter and got an off the counter ticket, that was cheaper than the jetstar, and flew to adelaide.
Spent a week there and time came to fly back had the return leg with Jetstar.
Didn't pick up any extra stuff down there, had an overnight/cabin bag, luggage bag and case with two shotguns in it.
What did jetstar do, they charged me extra for being overweight in the luggage dept, 4kg to be exact. Ba-st-ards.

Then there was the rough landing when I got back to the gold coast, not to mention the surly unimpressive cabin staff.
For my money one flight on jetstar is enough in ones lifetime, and I have canvassed a lot of people in airports for that.
A $3 flight is $3 too much for a crap airline, I would rather pay full freight than fly with them
I fly regularly with Virgin they don't charge for sporting goods in your baggage allowance, and are pleasant to deal with.
