I changed my LT85 to Syntrans 75W85 and it was worth every cent. I got it from Repco Woolloongabba who said they only stock 2 x 1 litre containers at a time. I needed three, so they ordered it in. You will be very pleased, quieter running and with smoother changes.

Catrol synthetic ATF is called "Transmax Z" and it comes in 4 litres.
It is approved by ZF for 4HP22.
I do not notice any difference in smoothness, but its much better for heat tolerance.

Disregard post
Whoops I was ducking and weaving from questions on my old memory so much that I misread the use for an R380 not ZF.

I had the same problem in Canberra - couldn't find it anywhere but got it at the castrol distributor. The local landrover dealer refused to sell it to me.
Most larger towns have a castrol distibutor and they normally also sell to the public - you can buy it there. Call Castrol on 1300 554 890 and they should be able to tell you where you local Castrol man is.
Oh it was $19.95 a litre and is sold in 1 litre containers only - last bought about a year ago.
