The only way to get accurate fuel consumption figures is to check the the consumption after each fill.
I use my trip odometer just for keeping tabs on each tank of fuel consumed.
I tried the the trip computer a number of times in my RR and it’s nearly always given a high usage than was the actual case, an example, the best consumption I got from a single tank of diesel was on a trip from Brisbane to Sydney, just under a 1,000 kms and my actual average was 9.1L/100 but the trip computer never got bellow 10L/100.
On another trip from Armidale to the GC, after filling up at Armidale and going down the range to Grafton.
At the bottom of the mountains, with the milage I had already done, the trip computer showed I still had a the Range that would have totalled 1300 kms, that’s not bad for a 100 Lt tank of juice.
Don’t put to much importance in the trip computers, just check the actual usage at the bowser.
Cheers.

PCH... If you think that's bad, you should try one the G4 D3s with the 4.4 V8.
I filled one up the other day, 5 mins later, the estimated range came up as just over 200 miles!!??!!
Now that IS thirsty!
