Preaching to the converted mate. First trip to the USofA for me was 1971, 16 yrs old serving in the Navy.

1974, Waikiki Beach, on duty with HASP (Hawaiian Armed Services Police), radio call said some nutter is shooting up the "O's" beach, at De Russi.

The Americans have a chain of 4\5 star resorts for servicemen and their families, Fort De Russi is next to the Hilton in Honolulu.
Services, no fraternising, the Officers, the O's, and the enlisted men, the EM's. And there the line is drawn in the sand.
Some drunken idiot, got the what evers, firing a Colt 45.

Wonder how many of us there are on here...to me, coming from England, guns and a Landy go hand in hand. In fact, it was my shooting that got me into them to begin with....so that's two bloody expensive hobbies then.

It looks as though you hire whatever you want and fire it on thier in house range. Maybe better to let off steam in a controlled environment.
Still, I would pass on working there.
