    Black Panthers

Did anyone watch that thing on Today Tonight, Tonight abut the Black Panthers sightings ?? Do we think they exist ??(in Australia) i read somewhere (cant remember) apparently the only place they can think of them coming from was some American divison of the army was training in Australia and there Mascot was a black panther and when they pulled out of Australia they might have got released or escaped and have been breeding up since then ??
    Regards Adrian

Yes I saw it, hopefully one day one will be trapped or shot so the evidence will be available. At this point Australia doesn't have animals that will attack humans in the bush, and in my opinion we don't want them.
On second thoughts we do have wild pigs

It was called the black Panther squadron, the bloody Yanks DID release a few Panthers into the wild up in the blue mountains as they couldn't take them home. More than one big cat got out of the wildlife park at the back of Sydney over the years as well(can't for the life of me remember the name).

The Lithgow Panther, been around for long time now.

I saw it. Saw it the other day as well. What I don't understand though is how no one has shot one yet. I have been on a few farms and seen the rifles stored on top of the dashboard of the old cruiser utes.

Other than the fact that if I saw one on my property I wouldn't leave the house without a rifle.

A bloke was telling me the last time there was a big hype about these large cats, he saw a feral cat out west and it was as big as a large dog, he said it even had a go at them while hunting roos and they shot it, he was saying then he thinks thats what this is all about
