    Damn the hill I want to conquer is the one that GHaggis went up and down that day where none of us could....under body armoured and locked I will conquer it

    You will get your mates hilux up that hill now just as easy as Gordon did in the D1.Its been dozered an smoothed out.The one where your D1 had a lay down on its side is also GONE!!!!
    The track where Iggy did his wheelstand was unmolested still,go west from the hill we are talking about turn right JUST BEFORE(almost at the T junction)
    The other hill Richard took us too is quite a drive from there,too hard to give directions.

    I have to agree when I had the lockers installed the same as above, they replace the bearings anyway when fitting air lockers.

    That would be for 2Xcomplete diffs with bearings supplied and set up by an expert.Ie fit new carrier bearings, and new pinion bearing, then do the backlash, and check pinion depth.
    I know a guy in Sydney north who does it for $350, but $450-500 is what most specialist diff shops charge.
    It is also a black art to get right.

    Well guys after kicking up a stink the took me too the place and showed me everything and what they did so I paid and now have basically a new diff..so all is well
    Everything Phil A said, quite involved and time consuming..especially on two diffs....I pick her up today......dropped her in wednesday 8am pick up monday 1300hrs..big job....
    now to my suspension mods
