Thread: RichardK,Harvey trip request

Would be good Gordon.
Was saying to Richard if we get the numbers we are expecting we could have a "second" leader half way thru the pack to keep things moving.

would love to but I think I need to spend time rebuilding that gearbox and fitting it to my RRC, that and 101 other jobs on my Rangie.

Nigel, I think it is the number of vehicles, not the number of people, that was the concern. And it will be a mild day out, seeing as Richard is bringing the D3, which he hasn't prepared for hard off-roading yet, so a group of hard-core drivers with modified 4by's would probably get pretty frustrated with it. And frustration leads to chaos, as we all have experienced at one time or another.

You are on the wrong track,I hoped you had a handle on what we were doing on this trip.
Its a beginers trip.You know how long it takes to get a large number through obstacles when they are drivers with limited experience and standard vehicles.
When I spoke to Richard on sunday we talked about putting a second leader half way through the group so the first half can move on and hopefully get a bit more 4x4ing.
We are only tackling the more basic stuff to give them the idea of what we get up to down there.Many have commented the pics they see are too tough for them.
Gordon I thought would be an ideal second leader for the amount of time he has spent down there.
