    Hi Richard
    VERY GOOD
I originally asked you to do this for the beginers who drive around the bush and wouldnt dare to do the stuff we post pics of.
I realise a heap of you guys have registered an interest in coming,15 or more vehicles on a beginers trip could end up a long day with not a lot of off-roading we are hoping to expose the newbies to.
Ken,the 2 Jeffs and the others registered an interest that dont do or havent done any serious off-roading this is aimed at you.
No insult at all intended to JamesH,but Im sure he will point out how trying Harvey can be for the newcomer to serious off-roading.James had a very trying experience that could have ended up causing alot of damage to his vehicle, never mind testing his nerve.
As Richard says,we are doing this trip for the newer members to get them involved in the more sedate but VERY CHALLENGING for the learner terrain.
When I was out with the guys at Dwellingup,I was prepared to try that hill in BlackBetty, but if things went pearshaped the lack of recovery vehicle and experince of the others on the trip said NO.
This trip is aimed at giving you guys a taste of challenging off-roading and a chance to learn from others.
We dont aim to upset anybody just hoping to get the newies blooded!!!!

    Thanks Andy,

My vehicle is simply not set up for it so I will only do what I want to do. Unfortunatly the ego bug is easy to catch on this sort of thing but thats how things get broken.

Anyway I might have to work the Saturday at this point in time, do we know what day we are talking about here?

Andrew on another forum aired some concerns...15 or more vehicles in one lump will be a concern for time and safety.
So I'm out.... if any of you more experienced 4wheelers wanna a day out post up and we will organize one.
All you noobs going enjoy your day and I hope it wont be too tame.
Andrew no hard feelings your concerns are sensible and warranted.

Richard that suits me fine. I sort of regretted inviting my two guests along when I saw how big it had got but I figure that if 15 people stick their hands up then there will be a few withdrawals anyway. My BIL and his mate with their Prados are certainly not set up for anything extreme but are willing to try some moderate stuff and I have been promising to take them out for ages!

I won't be attempting anything extreme until I get lockers anyway, which is likely to be some time off, must admit though Nigel I was looking forward to seeing how your beast goes now with all its modifications.

    Hi Nigel
Im hoping no offence is incured, sounds like you are OK..
Unfortunately its looking like a big trip, and for serious stuff it cant work.
That last trip that Richard,Baz,GGHaggis and Jbell were the only vehicles was perfect for tough stuff.Plenty of off-roading and no issues with trying to get lesser experienced drivers through difficult terrain.

Yeah I wouldn't mind doing that at some stage. Would have to be end of June or early July, every weekend is full until then.

At least there might be more mud though!

If you're going to do the powerlines track, just be aware that the mud pools we played in last year (just south of the track near the Talbot Rd end) are now off-limits. BIG fine if you're caught there.

    Cheers,

DirtyDawg - I'd be interested if you organise another trip! It's been a while between drinks and it looks like I picked up this thread too late to join the other group. Although I doubt my vehicle could follow yours! So as long as there are some chicken tracks where your planning to go - I be keen.

    Cheers,
    Steve. vbmenu_register("postmenu_540293", true);

PS - I found a fun track down the back of Mt Dale a few months ago
