Well yeah, I do get out of the way.
The other thing I do on the expressway is travel in the left lane. Its always traffic free!!!
Well No ,the truck driver percentage was noted the highest even though the drug van was positioned "in entertainment districts" and on " high truck usage areas". And is was mostly "speed" for truckies unsurprisingly.

    If you look today.
I think much of the bad truck driver behaviour is from lack of enforcement by the RTA and cops and just dumb tactics. The truck CBs pick the cops 100kms off. The cowboys do not get sifted out.
Its human nature to be be badly behaved if people knowthere was little chance of getting caught.
    Regard sPhilip a

I thought the Vic Police were also investigating if the TV crews may have been responsible for the accident in any way. I think The Age ran an article last week on it (http://www.theage.com.au/news/nation...390556452.html)

I'll have to look on the Vicroads site but as I posted, It was changed in 2005 to be illegal regardless of the speedlimit to travel in the right hand lane but maybe it's not changed on the website or I miss understood but I went to find it but it must have got chucked.

When I almost hit that silly old bloke, I had a hard time getting back into the truck, as you can imagine, I didnt drive it home from the accident as the front axel was about halfway down the back and the cab was pretty bent up.

The thing that p1ssed me off the most was that he waited at the green light until it turned amber and realised that he was stopped at a green and went through the amber and didnt give me a second look, almost like he didnt know it happened. If he didnt see me or hear me or feel his car rock as I was that close he shouldn't have been on the road.

I got the number and the coppers paid him a visit but our insurance had to pay for it for some reason.

Buy the way, on the Hwy with that KW, I was in the left lane and sitting just over the limit and there was very little traffic in the right lane so there was no reason for him to try to intimidate me or the poor girl in the lancer.

    Just a bad truckie.....

Not true - just read the Vic Roads regulations (current on their website) and it definitely states that on roads OVER 80kph you must leep in the left lane unless overtaking. Maybe Vic roads needs to sort this out if they are issuing two conflicting rules.

Ooops, looks like I am a bit late in pointing this out.
I hate it when you reply to something then realise it's NOT the last page... sorry.
