Here in sunny Broome I paid $1.45 for diesel today.
In Kununurra a fortnight ago it was $1.57!!!
When we travelled through the Territory in April we filled up the car and 4 jerrycans at Katherine Woolworths $1.19/lt this gave us the touring range to get to Alice Springs. We did the same at Alice $1.23/lt and this covered us doing the loop through the West Macdonalds to Uluru/rtn.
On the way home we did the fillup at Katherine and put in $20 at Fitzroy Crossing to garentee getting home to Broome.
So we saved some money @$340.00 on fuel just planning ahead for long distance driving.:)
diesels $1.47 a litre in Karratha, seen it as high as $1.62 just before xmas at the same servo.
