Rudall River National park
Just wondering if anyone has been to Rudall River NP on their travels.
We are considering having look around there.

Capt Rightfoot,
I have driven in there. There are two access ways one is via Port Hedland then access through the Telfer Mine Track. The other is via the CSR.
The drive is long and you need to arrange fuel at Punmu and get permission to enter.
There are two camping areas with the gorge one the better as there are a couple of small waterholes nearby. It isnt that intersting unless you are willing to do some hiking.
Others who have done the trip say it wasnt worth the fuel.
It is a good bypass if only doing the Southern Sections of the CSR and then head to the Karijini National Park.

Myself and a couple of mates are going next year. Go to Marble Bar then down through Carawinne Gorge ,Eel Pool across to Rudall River then the Southern Half of the Canning. Would go this year except promised the other half I would take her on a cruise, Ok I know I should be a RAV 4 driver going soft in my old age.

I liked it, mainly because it is very remote and few other people go there. You do need to get out of the vehicle and do some walking to appreciate it though. I'll dig out some pics later.
