Didnt they say in the old days you could tell how cold winter was going to be by the wood the indians were collecting????
Heres my efforts for friday and this morning, also cut a tandem trailer load for a workmate.Around 7 tonne all up!!!
Ken,remember I was telling you about my tractor rim outside fire for partys/keg emptying ceremonies(ie an excuse to stand round a fire and drown the mates with homebrew) ?????
Here it is,one nite me mate DerbyDan who hates being cold chucked almost a tonne of jarrah into it!!!!!!!! We get the rims glowing red when its warmed up nicely!!!!

love the little tank wheels on the bottom of the fire rim![]()
Richard my saw is going extremely well at the moment.Put a new full chisel chain on 4 weeks ago,it sure chews thru the jarrah. My sharpening has been spot on,used half the chain up already, would have cut close to 20 tonne with it.
Using premium unleaded and synthetic 2 stroke.
My mate couldnt keep up with the saw loading his trailer this morning.Jeff(Studio54) will tell you how well its cutting at the moment,he got some when we went to Dwellingup!!!!

Like a knife through butter
I know it's great for keeping fires going all night, (I know from experience) but I cringe when I see jarrah burning even when I'm burning it.
Hey Andy maybe you should make tables with it, my outside table cost a bloody fortune
Glad to see you'll be warm this winter.
Flamin' heck! That's a lot of work.
I think I'll stay with gas heating and reverse cycle air con.
I had an open log fire in our hose on Norfolk Island - I had it removed and replaced with an LPG heater. No more smoke in the house!
