Did you use duragal for the frame or are you planning on painting it rust brown?
I recomend no name mission brown paint to protect the latice work and I agree it should have had a brace going from the top on the latch side to the bottom on the hinge side.
Also a pincam latch would be sufficient for that size gate and I dont see the need for HT bolts as it does qualify as carpentry.
By the way I am taking the p!ss a bit so no need to pull it apart and proove me wrong, unless it'll be good for a laugh. :D
