    Mileage From an '02 V8??

    You may notice that I love asking questions along the lines of "how long's a piece of string?"
    Since my Easter trip the mileage in my V8 Disco has dropped significantly.
    I am almost due for my next service but would like the expert opinion of the members of this forum to give me some indication on what they are getting from their vehicles so I have something to aim at.

    With petrol tipped to head to $1.50 a litre soon I need to know how high that building needs to be before I jump off!!

    My previous 3.9 V8 did about 12mpg around town (yahoo) and about 22mpg on a long run... curiously, my dear old Bronco with a carby 351 did about the same.....

    If not was it dusty or was a beach involved at easter????
    If no snorkel Im guessing you have a dirt road or beach inside your air filter!!!!!
    Its the first and easiest thing to check.
