Nice. Bit like the QT guard with the slider plate on the bottom.

Looks simple, just wondering though looking the mounting bracket it clamps to the axle housing, if an obstruction was hit hard wouldn't it swivel on it's bracket and hit the diff any way? If it works ok then wouldn't be difficult to fabricate one. Ideas

but you have to take it off to change(re fill) the diff oil!
try doing that when the bolts are bent and rusty.

apart from that the all in one diff guarg / slider idea is a good one.

    cheers phil

It can't swivel as its bolted into where the steering dampner bracket would usually bolt (on the disco's and rangies anyway), as well as being clamped around the diff housing. The the steering Dampner bolts into the back of the slider part - also protected

You can actually still fill and empty Diff with it left on. There is just enough room using the right implements.

Good point phill but i cant see any use of the slider under the housing as the std rover housing would be strong enuf ....

Anyhow i prefer my weld on jobbies no bits hanging and no bolts to worry about and easy to fill and drain oils .....

As for the **** fight it has caused hope it stays north of the border
