No, sensible. Any other colour in this country is silly.

My Stage 1 resents that comment! Sheet of tinplate, thanks, not plank of ply!

Yep. It goes so nicely with the whole "build from parts bin then never change anything" approach which was pioneered back in 1948

Talk about cost cutting, they stole half the dashboard from the D3 and the rest from a fiesta

    They do look nice though

Don't worry David - all the Australian vehicles WILL have white roofs.

I love it, will be trading mine to get one as soon as they arrive on our shores. That is even the colour I want. Same kw as mine with a bag full more torque.

Hiya Scallops, any news on your new beast? I was worried you might have wandered off to the dark side and become a Toyota or Nissan owner, but you seem to be hanging in there.

Very happy to hear about the white roof. I want a dark green one with that white roof.

Don't worry friends! I haven't let a few Stooges put me off! I did have a bit of a look around at the Oriental stuff, but no - I'm riding the wait out - and from all reports, it's definitely going to be worth it.

And BTW - I did quite a bit of research into the LR Plastic bullbars with the Defender stamp - contrary to popular belief, they are mounted a distance greater than their maximum flex from the vehicle and have come through comparative testing against steel bars with good results - they won't bend your chassis if you do hit a roo they do return to their original shape after a collision. Plus they just look bling. I'm getting one on my Defender.

The name across the bonnet is huge, almost reminds me of the SLR 5000 or SANDMAN of the 70s. As if people don't know it's a Land Rover.
