I don't think you will have to worry about phone calls, there will be a heap of chaps who will be able to assist through the forum.

I haven't much up to date info on rangerovers - but the norm would apply, have it checked first, check the service history........just look for the obvious.

Wait around a few of the others will put you straight.

I would steer clear of the 95-98' P38A rangies as there problems are well documented, from what i've read the 98 up 4 ltrs seem to be good if maintained properly and looked after -like anything really but there are some real horror stories about the early P38'.

Ron (aka P38arover) is the man you want to talk to, he owns one and has faced every single gremlin the P38a's have. They are an awsome vehicle but you need to be able to pay for the repairs when **** goes wrong (not if, when it goes wrong) its a 12yr old vehicle and its full of electronics, that arent cheap to replace. 95 RR could be a Classic or P38 - they're both "MA" VINs so they're both '95s.

Don't buy a P38 what ever you do

will be forever fixing it

They are a fantastic vehicle BUT they do require alot of TLC. They are great offroad and fantastic to drive in general. If you dont mind getting your hands dirty then go for it. DONT BUY ANYTHING PRE 99!!

Mines just done the head Gasket and I will strip her down and fix it, Cost of all parts $270. Theres also tonnes of info about the P38 on the net. If I had my time again I would still have purchased mine, I love driving it, and I love all the little gadgets, yeah they can go wrong but this car is also my hobby I dont mind working on it, in fact I enojoy it. The HG was partially my problem, I didnt do a collant bleed after a blown hose hence I contributed to the problem by getting an Airlock. Hindsight is a wonderful thing..LOL
