I can make it all fit and work under kermit....

Always did think that the 2.25 diesel was a little underated for a IIa........
You would be looking towards offloading a 2.25 oiler in the future then?

    Cheers, Mick.

That was the first thing I noticed ... sorta gives ya some confidence, not that I would wish to be involved in a big bang

after all the investigating is said and done we greasers get our hands on it and we do paperwork for recovery of parts/disposal. As the One time repair limit for that vehicle is going to be exceeded just doing the inspection on it it will get an automatic beyond repair and go as is to auction (not if i get my way tho).

If you read the whole of my first post I mentioned doing a how to on how to read the stickers (red one in whats left of the windshield if you look close at some of the pics) The intent is so that you all can attend a pickles auction and buy ex mil stuff and have 1/2 a chance at knowing the condition of what your buying and will hopefully be able to spot the "wrecker" stickers that some greasers put on to ensure an item goes to auction for their mates (generators/tyres/winches etc).

Thats a confirmed maybe kermit is a prototpye for my recovery/workshop vehicle and was intended to be made up of soley the bits of series landrovers I considered to be the best of the bunch.

A perentene looks a lot like a series from a distance,if you squint hard enough anyway.

The diesel in kermit did not get a 100% make it perfect rebuild (it got a what do I need to replace that I cant easily replace later) tho so If I do sell it ti will be for about the $1000 I spent on the bottom end.

I can only see a green sticker???

Keep us informed - this is an interesting thread. I would love to get my hands on a Perentie. Will complement my 1968 x-army IIA!!!

I agree that even to repair that one would be easy (would need a new chassis). Repairing the injector pump housing wouldn't be completely easy though...

Dave - you don't have a 2.25D injector pump to sell do you?

Surely that PTO winch would be unserviceable and go to pickles with a couple of red stickers.

found out at work today. Its marked to go as IS... Im trying some skulldugery to get it written off into the workshop as piecemeal for some of our competancies...

Due to a paper work cock up its already off the books as a vehicle but the investigation of the prang is holding everything up.....they cant complete it as the vehicle doesnt show up in the system as being a valid vehicle.

Hypothetically it could get stolen and apart from an unclosed investigation it wouldnt be missed....

but every bugger knows where it is and its not something that you could accidentally drop into an ech bag....

but its already being canibalised (although we're not supposed to do that)to keep other rovers running so it will probabley wind up back in the system in the guise of about 9 other rovers....

Saw some pics of a rolled 130 on Friday. I was surprissed at how little the roof had caved. Made me feel a lot safer.

Blacknight feel free to send it down to us. We could claim it is one of the deployable servers
