Hi Inc,

I know I've asked this before, but any chance of getting some photos of the storage area in the wheel arch? I'm looking to make something similar.

Something about having so much wasted space under ther just seems wrong!

i put some in my defender album in the gallery, but only last night had a look to see what was really holding them in place :P

they are bolted to the floor ... and the hatch cover frame is the other support.

will try and get more photos but is a bugger of a spot to get anything decent...

More questions now regarding the back. What material did you use in the back on the roof? The sound deadening stuff that you stock? Now that I've finally finished the cargo barrier I'm looking to get the rest sorted and cut down on the echo chamber properties of the rear...

i didnt do the back, sorry, the previous owner did it.

it is carpet with foam underlay on the rear floor, and the roof is like a light duty unbacked carpet that has been moulded, glued and then strips of alloy fitted on the roof supports..

does a very very good job, am told mine is much much quieter than a almost new defender and there is no drumming most of the time.

i used the 6mm stuff i sell in the aulro shop to sound proof the front of the defender and am very impressed with it. i have sold some of the thinner stuff to others for the rear of their vehicles but have had any feedback from them as yet.. i used it in my wifes car and it did a good job there.
