Well done! nice tyre choice for it too....
know that waterhole well and you would be surprised at the number of people who attempt to cross that waterhole and never get out to check the depth as it varies considerable depending on the weather when completely dried out its about 5 foot deep and very muddy on the bottom. He did well to get so far across but l agree l don't think he was suitably geared or going fast enough to have made it.
Last time l saw a vehicle drown itself if that hole was a 92 Nissan drove straight in and went down bonnet first and drowned had to be pulled out but the passenger climb out the window walked over the bonnet and attached the snap strap to the bull bar by laying down helps if your an agile 18 year old.
Brad
so when is the real day out with the WALRC for the powerlines trip
Hey Brad didn't anyone tell him not to go through i was out there on Sunday with my XJ jeep ( no i did not go through that mud hole jeeps 2 inches lower than me Rangie). Only one Jeep went through and made it that was a Wrangler with 5 inch lift snorkel and lokkas it was bloody deep and very slippery. But not to even put a blind on the front ???. Hope you had fun its very nice wheather out there at the moment.

No Brains, if he was smart then he would have realised that he could haven driven around the lake:eek: on the track to the right and not ruined his Disco. Why F@%^ your vehicle for nothing.
Landrovers can go almost anywhere, but not EVERY WHERE.:D
I would, in a unimog..... but not in my Landy...
Ummm, looks like the arrsse end was floating, afore it ceased forward motion....

I also know people who have drowned their vehicles in there, it is deeper than it looks and the bottom is far from smooth.
If it is the one I think it is then it is also part of the Helena River and people driving through there is the reason that the Water Corp want to close the powerline track.
