How not to wash your Disco

the disco is all sorted now with the starting problem being the ignition module as stated by alan, i stripped out all the interior sunday dried everything and have now refitted everything, done all the oils and am ready for the next adventure.
as for e-bay i think i'll hold on to her for a while longer (as i'm still learning and am likely to do a bit more damage) before she's advertised as never having been off road.
I'm going down to harvey this weekend and will be a tad more cautious so fingers crossed you'll all have someone else to talk about next week! :D

It sums it up completely. We all do silly things sometimes. Mine wasn't water but infact cost alot more than it would have if it was swamped. I'll take mine out again. I'll just use a bit less boot going up hills.

You forgot quick costs lotsa money, without a car for weeks on end and discover the other day the windscreen is leeking around the seal so it'll have to go back again.

It's like this, I make the same as I did last year with the O/T. I just have a 5 hrs a day commute for the privelage. It's all so middle management can say they cut out the overtime (by employing 300 new staff to do 50 vacant jobs).

In a nutshell

Sig + p38 = broke but driving in style, occationally, when it's running right.

AC + D2 + wife with horses = broke but driving in moderate style, when occationally home.

See, we same but different.


(Ron please go easy on the spelling of this post, I just spent too many hours on two trains and a bus getting home from work.)

Good onya mate.....play how you want to play and enjoy:D:D Only by making mistakes that your learn and if the mistakes are calculated then all is good IMO. Like I said in my first post to this thread, been there done that and learnt my lesson:angel: now onwards and upwards to the next challenge:D:D

Having said all that, with the knowledge and advice given on this site I can genuinely say that I am a better and safer driver and have put some much advice given on AULRO into practise when encountering a particular challenge (sand in particular) for the first time. Applying this knowledge directly has meant I have looked like a seasoned pro:angel: on many occasions.............alright perhaps not a seasoned pro but you get my point. Although some advice/comments in this thread could be construed as having a go at your antics.....it's all good advice when put into context and practise. So keep on enjoying.......and keep on posting video and pics as you go:D:D:D
