Adelaide dealer gone at end of month

Got a letter in the mail from Prestige/Black Forest Landrover saying (as has been discussed here before) that they are having the LR dealership taken away from them.

They are instigating legal proceedings against PAG (letter doesn't say on what grounds).

Anyway, looks like they are going independent and will supply non-genuine LR parts as well as the usual genuine ones, and keep on servicing LR's apart from Warranty work.

Might be a good thing for all the Adelaide LR owners to have an extra player in the market.

Doesn't say who the new dealer is going to be or where it will be. Anyone know where the new showroom is going to be?

There was a thread on this about 2 weeks ago (might be more) - someone was building a shiny new building for it.

I too got the letter, yes I know they were just stating facts etc, but my perception was its a rather negative letter to send out to the masses. I am sick of them sending me letters "its been a month since we sent you a letter, and we hope your car is going well (no I just put a new damn tranny in it and the EAS died) and please keep us in mind if you are looking for a new car or friends are looking at a new car, con them into buying from us and we will give you a cash kickback"

Personally I don't feel black forrest will be a major force in the land rover market parts / service here, anyone who is serious about there car doesn't last there long even though they do have some nice people, but they have a reputation which will take allot of work and time to change.

This is just all flogging that poor deceased horse again......

Ooops yeah Scramber - should of read that again to find out where the new place is going to be built. Didn't remember that bit.

Is the new place built or still under construction? Anyone seen it?

yeah its one of them Ikea flat pack buildings made up of 300 tonne concrete blocks

Its pretty big.

I hope they dont have a million massive lights burning 24/7 like the BMW one on west terace/currie st corner - just a pet hate.

i noticed (i think its solitare) are rebuilding one of their buildings on Belair rd just near the Cross rds and Unley Rd intersection
