It does look like a great rig, Im glad they got rid of that stupid plastic cover that really doesnt do anything but make working on it harder.

I wonder what the revised seating positions will be like, I love the fenders but Im just not comfy in them so it would be good if it made it a bit more comfy for the wider bummed ones among us.....Like me.

Saw the new defender at Avalon Airshow, looks like a nice rig. Think the 6 speed would be a big improvement over mine.

Anyone know if the new 90" will be coming to Aus - the guy at the airshow said yes, but didn't seem to sure.

I was speaking to a Transit owner recently about the new Defender. He was very enthusiastic about the 2.4 Diesel. He raved about how well it pulled off the mark and effortlessly cruised. He did mention that cruising at 160kph all day on a recent trip to the NT reduced his fuel economy .

He did though warn about the transit clutches, they're very expensive & problematic. And I'm guessing the anti-stall clutch on the new Defender will be as problematic. My mechanic / auto elecs dad has a petrol transit, and after some investigating, he was a ble to retrofit an 'old school' clutch when that went.
