Hi Grant the rear Windows are different.
The element connectors are in a different locations & the high level stop lamps are mounted differntly.
Best to try a wrecker as suggested, my father in law picked one up a couple of years ago for $80.. This wasnt a LR speciallist wrecker either so it may pay to hunt around. Shouldnt cost more than $100 to fit as it is just a rubber seal no sealant.

I had the same thing happen to me when mine was only one month old - a brick through the back window - unfortunately the brick also hit the door frame and dented itwhere the seal is near the top - it was $1300 to put a new genuine glass ans panel beat the frame - paint etc etc etc.

I claimed on car insurance and then switched insurance companies who did not recognise it as a claim - so only cost me the $350 excess and no increase in premiums - infact AAMI was over $100 a year cheaper than GIO.

My suggestion is a door from the wreckers or ebay but then you have the cost of paint - if you are lucky you might get just the glass. A specialist antique car glass company like autoglass in Sydney might be able to help but it might cost.

Keep in mind that the pre-update 94 glass won't have the brake light in it. As for the coding system in the glass, all mine match even though the second hand tailgate glass is from a car 3 years newer.

Got myself a back window; even 1995, with the dot at the 'h', and tinted. Prices went as follows - guess who won -

$700 new glass fitted from Windscreen O'Brien,
$660 second hand glass fitted from Windscreen O'Brien,
$330 supply only, from "a 4by4 wreckers", and,
$110 supply only from West Coast Rover, ph 94596812, 1704 Albany Hwy Kenwick, south of Royal St..

Now to fit it - talcum powder & string the way to go ??

If u can get a can from silicon spray from supercrap(cause they are) its also worth it.

is this rope too big??
