A nice lookng p38 caught my eye today. thinking seriously of trading the Disco in on it.
Its a 97 SE, 151000 klms. Nice looking 4b clean and straight.
Ive just herd bad stories re electrics and airbags and seeing as im stolling into unchartered waters thought id get some experiances from owners and repairers.
So whos got one and what are they like on road and off road?
thanks i found the other thread ERMMMMMMMMM frightning!!![]()
I own one and as much as I like it, I wouldn't recommend one unless you can afford the maintenance.
Actually, it's the uncertainty that is the worst bit. When will the next thing fail and how much will it cost. It is not stress-free ownership/driving.

driving them would be like chalk and cheese, the p38a is a seriously nice car to be in, i have ridden in Rons and its a nice truck. There is a coil spring conversion you can do to eliminate the worry of the expensive components of the air suspension failing, compressors i hear are freakily costly to replace. Matt
