Kinda reminds me of the Army Reserve trek we did one night. We left Melb early Sat morning and were up around the Howitt Plains in the snow most of the night trying to get up a track. We eventually got a couple of Landies and one truck to a level spot and we were close to frozen. Not enough to leave the esky alone though. When we opened it the beer was warm !!!. We forgot to buy the ice. Should have just left it open for a few hours

Was in a nice warm car heading Sydney to Thredbo - stopped off in middle of Cooma to get some cash from the ATM at 4:30am - outside temp said -4 .. but there was a wind sqawking straight down that main road - went through my heavy duty clothes like I was naked !!! It might as well have been -20 ... it felt like that !!
