Drugs affect all towns, stacey saw two people doing a drug deal in liithgow the other day, lithgow tends to be higher than other towns west of the mountains due to the rail link with the city. But never have i felt unsafe here enough to move to the coast or the city. In general coastal centres have higher drug problems, we owned a caravan park south of coffs years and years ago and mum and dad moved us away from the coast because of the drug problem.

ACE you have no idea how much ****e goes on in Lithgow ( insert any other town name). It has for a long time mate, I used to move in less than legal circles ( long time ago) & normal people have no idea fortunately the crap that happens & not just drugs.

My opinion is that all junkies should be given ONE chance to clean up or get one free shot by the government, including the ICE freaks now as well.

That's coz it's at the top of the Blue Mountains - oh, hang on, it might be lower than Mt Victoria.

We see the dealers on the Blue Mountains trains all the time. They are well known to railway station staff at Katoomba and Springwood (both locations where I work).

Pretty sure that Katoomba, Blackheath, and Mount Vic are all at about 1050m.

I thought that Lithgow was at the bottom of the hill.

    Cheers

unfortunately it doesn't matter where you live you will find drugs, large cities or small towns it's there. I spend all day at work dealing with the junkies and its not a pleasant job, there either stoned ****ed or both. But I feel sorry for their kids, what sort of life are they going to have.

If you believe you live in a drug free nirvana and all the people you meet are just high on the fresh country air so be it. The drug epidemic is present in all populated areas but statistically it has a higher percentage of users per population in rural areas as opposed to urban areas.

Ever wonder why the XPT's get searched by constable woof woof when they come in to the metropolitan areas? or did you think they use drug dogs to search for fruit coming out of the fruit fly exclusion zones?

Perhaps you could go around your neighbours and discuss the drug problems within your local area, should be a good topic over a few beers and a cone or two.

Geez, Andy and I thought Williams was a sleepy hollow, but I suppose when other industries like mining crack down on drugs these people filter into small towns or burbs into jobs where ther is not testing.
Meth Amphetamines are the biggest concern in Australia at the moment and pretty much any moron will have a go at making them. The kids also need to be a ware there are some fake ice tabs out there that are made only from cleaning solvents and give no high so more and more get taken and death results.
Find where they are making it and toss in a match on your way by, ka boom.
Hope they catch the *****s, I know I would be looking for them too if a bullet came through my window.
Soft courts and do gooder social workers are the problem as there is no accountability.
I think you should move down to Esperance, there is a nice little suburb called Nulsen, would make you feel at home.

Is it safe to live anywhere any more
I dont think drugs can ever be stamped out its an evil substance that has no place in society but the people that manufacture this crap make big dollars
and for far to long greed has been the result of crime and legal industry alike
I for one have seen first hand what it does
I had a mate who lost everything to drugs Nearly even his life
What sort of a high is that no amount of euphoria will make me trade what I have for a few hours of enjoyment
Id rather get up that big slippery hill with ruts all over it and feel my heart beating faster as a result than go the way of the drug induced high
